Real Madrid Considers Young Midfielder from Greece

Even though Real Madrid has a fairly dense midfield with many talented players, El Real’s sports department is still looking for players who can fill the void left by Toni Kroos – the German star who is retiring in 2024.

The giant club from the Spanish capital until now lacks a midfielder profile who can control and regulate the tempo of the game from midfield, which could have an impact on the team’s balance.

Considering this situation, Madrid is now looking for midfielders with potential in the transfer market, where a number of names such as Adam Wharton and Kees Smit have been mentioned as options that Los Blancos could bring in.

Real Madrid Targets Christos Mouzatitis

In fact, Madrid is reportedly considering making an offer of around 25 million pounds for the 18 year old midfielder.

Despite his young age, Mouzakitis has already made more than 50 appearances for the Olympiacos first team, with 16 of those appearances coming this season. He has also played for the Greek national team seven times.

Mouzakitis was listed as a starter and played the full 45 minutes twice when Olympiacos hosted Real Madrid last week. The match which was held in Athens itself ended with a victory for Xabi Alonso’s team, 4-3.

After the match, Alonso expressed his praise for Mouzakitis. Now, it turns out, Madrid is now considering making an offer for the young Olympiacos academy graduate.

However, Madrid is not alone. Mouzakitis is also reported to have attracted interest from a number of Premier League giant clubs such as Manchester United, as well as Arsenal and Chelsea who are monitoring his development.

The 1.78 meter teenage star is still under contract with Olympiacos until 2029. Of course it will be interesting to see whether Real Madrid will continue their interest and actually make an offer for the talented young midfielder.
