Real Madrid fans please calm down, Vinicius admits he doesn’t want to rush into a new contract

Gilabola.com – Vinicius Junior reveals the situation of his contract extension at Real Madrid. The Brazilian star stated that he and the club did not want to rush things.

Vinicius also emphasized that he remains calm and is not worried even though various speculation continues regarding his current contract situation at the Bernabeu.

He discussed this after showing a cool performance and becoming Man of the Match when Madrid won 6-1 over AS Monaco in the Champions League match which was held in Spain.

With his current contract ending in 2027, discussions regarding a contract extension have been ongoing for some time. However, until now no final agreement has been reached between the two parties.

However, Vinicius explained that the slow progress in discussions about his new contract did not worry him.

“There is a lot of talk about extending the contract, but I still have one more year here. We are calm. I believe in the president (Florentino Perez) and he also believes in me,” said Vinicius, as reported World of Sports.

“We have a very good relationship and, when the time comes, we will get everything done. We are not in a rush,” he added.

Regarding the dismissal of Xabi Alonso

Apart from his contract, Vinicius also commented on another thing, namely the dismissal of Xabi Alonso.

The Spanish coach, who was only recruited last summer, was fired by Madrid shortly after they lost 2-3 to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.

Meanwhile, Vinicius is often reported to have an unclear relationship with Alonso. “There’s nothing I can do. I can only give my best. I won’t always perform optimally technically, but I always try to give my best for the team,” he said.

Vinicius then explained how he tries to adapt his game, depending on the team’s needs in each match.

“When other players lack goals, I try to provide assists; when I have to defend, I try to defend. Of course, I’m not the best defender on the team, there are other players for that position,” stressed Vinicius.

However, one thing is clear, Vinicius has managed to find motivation and strength, especially in difficult times.
