Location: 40 The Market, Covent Garden Piazza
Atmosphere
Shiny and bright, this pub spilled into the Piazza Covent Garden with street players under and most of the tourists on the balcony.
What makes it special
Perched on the balcony facing the action, it was one of the most iconic Greene King pubs in the central London. The name nodded to the doll event that was held here. This is a little chaotic and very entertaining.
Why do we like it
You don’t come for a calm door; You come to watch it. Take a drink (if you can get to the bar) and enjoy watching the best people in London. This is good for your first London trip.
Maple leaf
Location: 41 Maiden Lane
Atmosphere
Lively, hard and proud of Canada. Hockey shirt on the wall, Poutine in the menu and all the direct exercise you want.
What makes it special
This is home from home to Canadians, but new things for others. Fourteen screen means there are no bad chairs during the match. And the beer is cold.
Why do we like it
After living near the Canadian border in Buffalo, I sometimes duck here for nostalgic doses. Bonus points if there are my buffalo friends who can guarantee wings!

The Portterhouse
Location: 21-22 Maiden Lane
Atmosphere
Multi-floor madness! This is part of the beer room, some of the nest rugby. Dark wood, hard music and 30+ beats.
What makes it special
This Irish -born animal poured some of the best craft beer in the Covent Garden and attracted a loyal crowd for live music, GAA and six countries. You will also find Tap Takeovers and one of the more excited London OctoberFests.
Why do we like it
I’ve eaten here several times. Their bangers and mash are very good. This Pub Covent Garden is a good food stop if not too full.
Marquess of Anglesey
Location: 39 bow street
Atmosphere
Polished but not majestic. Think about the dark wood pubs on the lower floor, processed lounges on the top floor and the brilliant roof above.
What makes it special
That nail all classic. It has grilled meat on Sunday, cocktail, and a slender roof terrace with views of Theatreland London.
Why do we like it
Whether it’s dinner before the theater or golden clock drink, this one always feels like victory. Quite comfortable for a cold night, quite windy for summer days. This is a young pub so we give the highest rank for food.
