Gilabola.com – PSIM Yogyakarta achieved a convincing victory after defeating hosts Madura United with a landslide score of 3-0 in the 17th week of the 2025-2026 Super League. Playing at the Gelora Ratu Pamelingan Stadium, Pamekasan, Saturday (10/1/2026) evening WIB, Laskar Mataram performed effectively and took home three important points.
This result brought PSIM Yogyakarta back up to sixth place in the standings, while also shifting Persebaya. On the contrary, this defeat made Madura United’s position even more vulnerable and closer to the relegation zone.
The first half was hard and goalless
Madura United immediately appeared aggressive from the start of the match. In the 11th minute, Taufany almost opened the scoring with a close-range shot, but Cahya Supriadi was still able to make a save.
Another opportunity presented itself in the 24th minute through Lulinha’s hard kick, but the ball bounced narrowly over the bar. PSIM responded with a golden opportunity from Nermin Haljeta in the 27th minute, but his execution was still blocked by the Madura United defense.
The situation changed in the 45th minute when Nurdiansyah was given a red card after committing a hard foul on Pulga Vidal. Having a superior number of players, PSIM started to attack, but Miswar Saputra’s solid performance kept the score at 0-0 until halftime.
PSIM Yogyakarta goes berserk in the second half
Madura United scored a goal early in the second half through Balotelli. However, VAR annulled the goal for offside.
The momentum then completely belonged to PSIM Yogyakarta. Fahreza Sudin opened the scoring in the 56th minute after taking advantage of the chaos in front of goal. Two minutes later, Franco Ramos Mingo doubled the score with a header that he couldn’t stop.
Fahreza Sudin put his name on the scoreboard again in the 63rd minute after receiving a pass from Ze Valente. This goal secured a brace for Fahreza and also gave PSIM a 3-0 lead.
The match became even more heated when Franco Ramos Mingo received a red card in the 73rd minute after fouling Balotelli.
