Dropped out by Argentina, Mastantuono returns to Real Madrid with a muscle injury

Gilabola.com – Real Madrid has not had a positive impact from the international break so far, because Los Blancos actually found several of their players suffering serious injuries.

On Saturday (11/10) early morning, Kylian Mbappe suffered an ankle injury while playing for the French national team which hosted Azerbaijan and won 3-0.

The scorer of Les Bleus’ first goal in that match had to return to Madrid for evaluation and recovery.

Simultaneously with the situation experienced by Mbappe, Franco Mastantuono also suffered a similar injury and his international break with the Argentine national team was cut short.

Not in Argentina’s plans

However, it was confirmed by the Argentine national team that Mastantuono had been removed from the match against Venezuela on Saturday morning – where Argentina won 1-0, due to overloading of the muscles in his left thigh.

Thus, Mastantuono’s international break has ended and he will not play again for Argentina in the second friendly match of this international break against Puerto Rico next week.

On the other hand, Mastantuono is expected to immediately return to Spain and rest in Madrid so he can recover from the excess muscle load as quickly as possible.

Moreover, Real Madrid does have a busy match schedule and Mastantuono should be one of the players who will play an important role in Xabi Alonso’s team.

So far this season, the 18-year-old teenage star has impressed for Madrid, despite only joining the club in the summer and has already started five league games, appearing in a total of seven games.

Mastantuono has quickly adapted to life at Madrid, where he has already scored one goal in a short time and is averaging 0.7 key passes per game.

Xabi Alonso hopes that Mastantuono can return in time to appear in Real Madrid’s first match after the international break – which will certainly be very tiring, namely the away match against Getafe.

So far, the former River Plate man has adapted perfectly to Los Blancos’ right-wing position, where he provides a sense of stability and creativity – something that Real Madrid’s defense has long lacked.
