PSM Makassar vs Persebaya Surabaya 1-1 Results: Bajul Ijo Steals Points at Juku Eja’s Cage

PSM Only Defended by 10 Players at the End of the Match

Both teams must be willing to share points after the exciting match at home to PSM Makassar ended in a draw. However, what is noteworthy in this match is that the goals scored by both teams came in the early minutes of the match.

PSM took the lead in the 8th minute through Savio Roberto’s goal. Persebaya then equalized through Bruno Moreira’s goal in the 12th minute.

Unfortunately, at the end of the match, precisely in the 90+7 minutes, PSM had to play with 10 players after Akbar Tanjung received a second yellow card.

This draw made PSM increase its points collection to 19 points in eighth place. Meanwhile, Persebaya now has 18 points in ninth place.

Both Teams Scored Quick Goals

Both teams tried to appear pressing since kickoff. The hosts also got results, they managed to take the lead through Savio Roberto’s quick goal.

ALMOST!! Alex Tanque almost doubled the hosts’ score with his bicycle kick in front of the Persebaya goal, after receiving Victor Dethan’s free kick. Luckily for Bajul Ijo, the ball fell straight into Ernando Ari’s arms!

No goals were scored in the second half, PSM was strengthened by 10 players

The players from both teams immediately stepped on the gas after the break. Many times host PSM had opportunities – both from set-piece positions and open play, but nothing came to fruition.

Persebaya also tried hard to score the winning goal, including through the actions of Bruno and Rivera. However, none of the efforts made by the Bajul Ijo squad resulted in additional goals.

PSM Makassar player, Akbar Tanjung, was given a red card by the referee in the 88th minute after he allegedly clashed with Raickovic. However, after checking the VAR, the referee annulled the red card and replaced it with a yellow card.

PSM had a golden opportunity from a set-piece position a moment later. However, this opportunity failed to be exploited properly after Aloisio Neto’s free kick only hit the Persebaya crossbar. FAIL!

RED CARD! Akbar Tanjung ultimately had to shower early after he received a second yellow card in injury time for fouling Rivera who was dribbling the ball towards the home goal.
