Things to Do in London in April

Looking for the best things to do in London in April? With Spring finally here, we can start to extend our daytime activities with longer hours of sunshine.

In 2026, we move our clocks forward in the UK on March 29th, unlike the US date of March 8th. Londoners will be especially excited about the first sunset occurring after 7pm on that date.

Most people will be on holiday in April, which means many will be flocking to London. If you’re visiting during Easter, be sure to start planning your London trip here.

Below you’ll find new seasonal afternoon teas, where to enjoy Friday fish and chips in a London pub or restaurant, candlelight concerts in historic venues and more!

There is exclusive discount code plus expert tips to help you make the most of your visit and avoid large crowds too.

April is always a sweet month in London. St George’s Day celebrations and the Easter holidays freshen up the city after a typically rainy March. The weather may be sunny, cold, and also cloudy and rainy on certain days. Before planning days out in London, be sure to check the weather forecast, especially if you’ll be attending the annual boat race.

April is the perfect month for afternoon tea as many hotels and restaurants launch Spring themed teas. This month I’ve chosen one to combine with an exhibition launch for you to try and a classic afternoon tea.

Fashion Meets Tea

An avant-garde afternoon tea inspired by the radical imagination and surreal elegance of The V&A Museum’s highly anticipated exhibition, Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art.

It launches March 28, 2026 at The Kensington Hotel.

Video about this experience coming soon! Make sure you follow along on social media to see the tea.

I had the opportunity to experience The Ruben’s at The Palace. It’s quite indulgent and you can have as many choices as you like. However, I pace myself well and find the three tiers of treats are more than enough. If you’re looking for a luxurious and delicious afternoon tea in London, try this one.

Reuben at the Palace is an afternoon tea experience near Buckingham Palace.

Perfect for before/after a visit to The Royal Mews and truly represents the essence of British culture.

Things To Do In London in April: Pubs for Fish & Chips

It’s probably the most popular time of year for Londoners to get fish and chips due to the weeks leading up to the Easter holidays. So, pubs and restaurants serving fish and chips can be quite busy, especially on Fridays.

Below is a list of pubs in London that we think offer some of the best fish and chips in London. Most don’t take reservations, so you might want to come early on a Friday to avoid disappointment. And don’t forget Mr Sunny recommends a new pub every week in our Sunny News email!

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
