Transfer Arsenal (8/6/2025): Kepa Entry, Zubimendi and Sesko are queued!

Gilabola.com – Arsenal began to show its seriousness in strengthening the squad ahead of the 2025/2026 season. Under the direction of Mikel Arteta, the Gunners have ambitions to cut distance with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League standings next season.

This summer, the Premier League applied two separate transfer windows because of the participation of several clubs in the Club World Cup. The first window was closed on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, and Arsenal were speeding to complete several transfers before the deadline.

One of the almost completed agreements is the recruitment of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea. Arsenal reportedly activated the release clause worth £ 5 million for the Spanish goalkeeper. If officially joining, Kepa will be a coating for David Raya, fellow goalkeepers from Spain.

Not only that, Arsenal are also competing with Real Madrid to secure the services of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Although previously a favorite, now Arsenal must wait until the second transfer window is open on June 16 to continue negotiations.

In addition to strengthening the back and middle lines, Arsenal also plans to recruit sharp strikers. The two names that enter the radar are Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. Both of them entered the active negotiation stage.

Meanwhile, some players have officially left the Emirates Stadium. Jorginho, Kieran Tierney, and Nuno Tavares are included in the list of players who leave. Jorginho and Tierney were released for free, while Tavares was released permanently to Lazio after his loan period.

Arsenal also released a number of young players as part of the squad reshuffle. Among these are one of Eddine Oulad M’Hand, Ismail Oulad M’Hand, and Brian Okonkwo.
